Art Shows

Classic Film Series

Island film buffs are catered to with the Classic Film Series presented by islander Bill Engleson, which runs at various times throughout the year at the Arts Centre.

Concerts Denman

Throughout the year, Concerts Denman showcases a wide variety of musical events, from Classical to Folk and Pop performances by world-renowned artists.

Denman Island Arts Centre

The Denman Island Arts Centre, a lovingly restored heritage home at the top of the ferry hill, is home to numerous arts related functions, from studio groups to island artist’s gallery shows and various arts education activities offered throughout the year.

Denman Island Artist’s Studio Tour

Many of our local artists work from home studios which are either open to the public during posted hours or by appointment. During the semi-annual Denman Island Artist’s Studio Tour, even some studios not normally available provide an insight into the creative process.

Open Stage

Both local and visiting musicans can be heard performing during Open Stage, the third Thursday of every month from 7:30 to 10 p.m. in the Back Hall of the Community Centre.

Summer Art Gallery

The Summer Art Gallery besides the village Seniors Centre showcases a number of exclusive art exhibitions during the tourist season. 

Visual Arts & Artisans

The visual and artisanal arts include basketry, carved signs, culinary arts, fabric arts, felting, glass art, jewelry, mixed media, mosaics, painting, papercraft, photography, pottery, prints & cards, quilting, sculpture, woodwork and wooden toys.
