The weather on Denman Island is temperate, with pleasant summers and mild winters. Summers are warm and sunny with temperatures in the low to mid 20s (C) on average. Temperatures in the winter rarely dip below -5°C, and while it does snow, it doesn't happen too often and what does fall usually melts within a week. The flip side is that between October and April it's rather wet and gray, and it can get pretty windy too. The balance of dry and wet seasons creates unique ecosystems and helps make Denman a veritable playground for naturalists.
